Spotify forbids any form of "re-distributing" content that is made available via their platform, which means that they can terminate your account for using it in your streams.

This likely applies to most other music platforms (iTunes, YouTube Music, etc.) as well. It sure kills the fun but that's the world we live in where everything is always about the money.

Every other platform they could add would have to explicitly allow "broadcasting" of the music they offer and this usually limits the selection to those artists which chose to make their music available for such use.

Pretzel Rocks is a recent example of such service as they have a "YouTube Safe Mode" which includes only songs you can stream without running into copyright issues.

And with all the copyright law changes in recent years, the situation is even becoming worse.

I would love to be able to use Google Play for song requests and playing music for my stream.

This still being developed? It sounds very helpful.

Any new news on this? Want to add this feature to my stream but not doing it with Soundcloud as it never has or plays what is wanted

That would be great, since I use Spotify as my music platform, so it would be awesome if i could connect it to the extension so my viewers can use it.
