When there are no requests in the queue, the default playlist can take over playing music so that there's no long periods of silence.
Just adding another voice to the crowd to allow use of soundcloud links for the .playlist file. Would be great if we could import and combine with youtube links. This would be nice considering the loss of Spotify integration.
Just take a look how Nightbot implemented it's Songrequest AutoDJ/Playlist feature and do the same.
This is exactly the feature I came here to suggest. It is a huge hassle for me to constantly babysit the song requests. I am a smaller channel that doesn't always have viewers requesting music. A lot of my viewers are also on mobile and have no way to request music until Twitch implements extensions on their mobile apps.
I hear that! I'd like to be able to create my own playlists that are constantly playing unless a viewer puts in a song request at which point my playlist would be immediately super-ceded by Viewer Requested songs as soon as the currently playing song finished. Which in turn could then only be super-ceded by viewer votes on something from my playlist or the viewer requested songs that they wanted to listen to. That would be awesome and I wouldn't need to run Spotify and Snip in the background any more! ^_^
i agree this should happen
