Streamlabs Chatbot on Ubuntu / Linux

Hi everyone, actually I use Streamlabs Chatbot ans Streamlabs OBS to stream on Twitch because I love this programs and I think that are very usefull.

But there is a problem. Streamlabs Chatbot, as Ankhbot, only works if you have the program running and if you close it, it dies.

I know it's difficult to make a "Nightbot" as a online bot with all feature that give us Ankhbot, but if Streamlabs Chatbot will available to install on Ubuntu or Linux, we could install it on a VPS or dedicated server and run it forever, like a "Nightbot".

Thank you to read me and I will read your opinions

I absolutely agree, seeing as this is made in Python, a Linux version shouldn't be hard at all to release.

Great idea, I have a couple of Raspberry PIs here that would love to serve as chatbots !

Yes!  Please release a linux-native version of the Chatbot!  I'm planning on moving my stream to be a primarily linux channel, and want to be able to keep using it (without having to try running it with WINE)

Of course! Raspberry Pi is a good idea to have it running if they release a linux-native version.

I showed you are planning to release a MAC version, so please consider a linux too. It can't be so different

Please make this happen! I have a spare Raspberry Pi that I haven't used in months so I can't think of a better purpose for it

Agree 100%.  I already rent a dedicated server for various gaming activities so a Linux version would be ideal as I could just leave it running on that machine.

Has there been any traction on this?

It hasbeen talked about a lot when it was called ankhbot. The app is made in asp. So making it run on linux or mac would require a full rebuild

I just switched to Ubuntu since I don't like Windows and only used it for gaming but I kinda want to make the full transition to Linux and having this bot get native support on Linux would really be great.

Yes, with a web remote client would be great. I run a NAS with an 8 core and it would work out very ideally for me.

I also agree, but not just for Ubuntu. Portable code can be made to work with all platforms pretty easily. The source is already out on github, and can just be a git clone and compile on Linux. Of course you could also make Debian/Ubuntu packages, but development shouldn't center around just the one distribution.
