I would love to have the ability to use my GoPro as a camera while streaming from the streamlabs app on my phone. Periscope has this functionality and it’s super smooth to change from your phones front/rear cameras and a GoPro. The ability to do this would make it so much easier for me to do things like fishing, hiking, metal detecting, gold panning, and many other kinds of mobile streams.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yes i had the same Idea

I actually got this to work by plugging my gorpo HDMI into the back of my capture card.

The quality using the "preview" mode for cameras suck. Its' not meant for this. I did it with a GoPro Hero 7 Black. You also can't read chat without the entire stream seeing it. Also, everyone sees everything else on your phone like notifications. Its a less than ideal solution.

Not sure about GoPro's, but if your external camera has a preview function that shows what it is seeing on you phone's screen, then you can use streamlabs mobile. I livestream my hockey games, and here is how I do it. I have a Panasonic camera that uses my phone's mobile hotspot to connect to, it generates a live preview (whichever quality I have camera set to) on my stream. I start up streamlabs and hit the record screen button and go live. I then switch over to my preview that takes up the phones full screen and bam, I am able to stream my wifi camera.
TLDR; Wifi camera --> preview on phone ---> Streamlabs mobile Screen Capture and go live ---> back to preview

I would love to capture the live feed from a gopro camera to stream to youtube or twitch via stream labs software. this would keep the cost and size of my setup to a minimum. I stream off of a motorcycle and at a sanctioned drag racing event i have to consider safety hazards. Having a bulky or questionable setup can have me disqualified from the racing event.

Streamlabs wouldn’t be first to market. Periscope does it already, and I think bitstream does. I don’t personally like those apps though, so if streams could do it, that would be great 👍

Come one Streamlabs.....don't you want to be first to market. Lets make history.

Someone in a different post also mentioned to have the ability for choosing the audio input source so you have the video source e.g. gopro (using karmagrip on gropro means you won't have microphone input) and audio source from your phone i would love to see that. I hope this all comes in consideration for the future.

I tried to put my iphone on a head mount but it's too dangerous to do sports with it! Livestream has an option to add a go pro but the app is far from being as good as Streamlabs so yeah we need this as soon as possible. It would also bring so many more customers to their app if they don't add it they would miss on the greatest opportunity ever to make a killing!

it would be amazing if the app was able to use an external camera to connect to while live streaming. GoPro comes to mind and should be more then comparable. This would free up the difficulty of trying to read chat that's so small and far away. It would also add flexibility for camera mounting locations. I would like to mount the camera on the side or front of my Jeep while doing off road streams. Options would be endless.

I would love to see this become a thing. I bought a few GoPro's for pond hockey and cliff jumping a few years back. It would be awesome to be able to stream these things, without risking my phone which connects me to everyone else in my life. I drop my phone too much to even take it hiking.
Being able to use a GoPro would make for some really cool alternative streams like long-boarding, surfing, fishing, snowboarding, cliff jumping, hiking, rock climbing, not-so-deep-sea-diving (not for me but maybe for someone who wouldn't mind getting eaten by a shark), etc. GoPro's are built for these things and can take the hits. And if you do lose it, at least you can still call grandma afterwards and tell her about your adventures.
I hope people see this as the amazing opportunity that it is!
