Feature Suggestions

Allow Multi-Streaming

I think for those of us who would like to be able to stream on multiple platforms at once...
Example;

Stream on Picarto, and Twitch at the same time, or Twitch and YouTube at the same time...

I think it would be a great idea for us to be able to sign into two platforms at once. Then allow the chat feature to pic up both in one chat or have two chats with one linked to one and one linked to the other.

This would help us streamers to broadcast on a wider scale at once!

No more picking and choosing if we should stream on one platform or another. No more running two streamer program at once, keeping computers from having to work extra hard for us to work hard.

Please consider this and I think it would be a great thing for the streaming community~!

I think it would also pull more people to use SOBS that may have been on the fence about it~!

    Still looking towards this feature! really, no point in linking all the platforms if you can only stream on one

    So I've taken this a step farther;

    I have the following streaming services
    Mixer, Smashcast, Stream.me, Twitch, and Steam, and YouTube

    I actually have 2 accounts on each (except steam), one personal and one for an LLC I formed a few years back (this one, that this name is).

    On Twitch I have basically the direct stream-to function from my personal to the one associated with my LLC

    I have an "Associate can broadcast" set up from my personal to my LLC

    So what do I do to stream to up to 9 or 10 simultaneously including some doubling?

    One I do pay for 3 doubling accounts on restream.io

    But 2 I have a spare raspberry pi 3 b+, they aren't particularly powerful but it's useful.

    So I followed this guide:
    https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-set-up-your-own-private-rtmp-server-using-nginx.50/

    And set up an RTMP as a re-stream internal to my own network.

    The Raspberry Pi B+ actually can handle around 2-3 restreams set up in this way (right now I only have 2)

    So, in the restream configuration I pointed to my Restream.io stream account and key and then added in the "stream as" for my channel as a second rtmp restream configuration.

    I then, instead of any streaming software, can RTMP inside my own network, and since I have a gigabit LAN I actually can increase my bitrates a little bit, as any network compression that happens will happen on that device before being sent out. Obviously bitrate increases affect performance too, but it's definitely a solid solution, I recommend it (if you have the technical acumen to do so).

    This wont happen, if so, your computer would need to encode the stream twice! Once for each. Thats why restream.io is a great tool!!

    Why would you just eat up more of your bandwidth when restream.io exists??

    Xsplit allows me to stream to one location with CPU encoding and another with GPU encoding from a single program almost as if I'm running the program twice. Restream.io is a solution but not if you use Facebook or Mixer faster than light service. That same feature doesn't seem like it would be too challenging.

    Like a lot of people said Restream.io is your answer. But unlike what other people said it's free, unless you want to stream to Facebook. SLOBS even has a stream to Restream.io opinion. Restream also has an app that combines all the chats into one. You aren't able to really do much with it but read it and push to stream overlay.

    If you have a contract with twitch like affiliate and partner you will probably not stream to several platforms because your contract can be terminated. Bad idea ever

    you can just  use restream.io

    considering you would need to multiply your upstream by the number of streaming platfoms you want to use, restream,io is most likely the best solution as it allows multiple streams from one output source and does transcoding.

    Yes, Restream.io is amazing to do that and probably works better for most of the people, since you don't have to push a lot from your computer :)
